Transferring individual files across SSDs can take a long time and it does not utilize the full speeds of the SSDs.
Using 7zip, the files can be zipped from multiple small files into one larger zip file and transferred at nearly 500 MB/s across SSDs (this may be faster between NVME drives and also speeds up transfers between HDDs).
I plan to zip up most of my images. I need to plan out how I'm going to organize the zip files so that I can identify which zip file has the photos that I need.
